My Story

I have been fascinated by the process of how people and organisations change ever since my early career as a senior psychiatric nurse. This was at a time when the NHS was going through a huge time of change and mental health services in particular were affected by the change.  I was not entirely happy with how those changes were delivered and decided that it was time to venture out alone to focus more specifically on my passion for change work.

By then I had trained in various practices such as Transactional Analysis, hypnotherapy, NLP,  behavioural changework and had delved deeply into transpersonal psychology. It was a random call by a UK based senior partner in a global business that changed the course of my career. He had heard of my interest in change work and was interested to know how my approach might work in a corporate setting.  After a few meetings I was offered a years contract with the company to work as an executive coach. This effectively brought me out of the NHS and within that first year my reputation as a transformational leadership mentor grew. I translated many of the practices that I had learnt as therapies into interpersonal strategies for use  large corporate business.

But my thirst for the subject of change did not stop there. It seemed to me that people's apetite to grow and transform and to acheive the best version of themselves and / or their businesses was insatiable. Indeed our understanding of what is humanly possible is rather like our understanding of the cosmos in that the more we find out, the less we realise we know.  I realised that to keep at the cutting edge of change, particularly in the times in which we live and work demands an expansive world view. This led me to much wider academic studies including working with myth and narrative and completion of an MA in contemplative practice. Such an expansive approach to change inevitably brings us to a point beyond the basic ego and to deep transformative change that begins to effect those around us and the contexts in which we live and work.

My approach at both a personal and corporate level is eclectic and bespoke. In other words I will develop with you a program based on where you currently are and where you want to get to using practices that most suited to you context, values and identity.
